FID provides timely, culturally sensitive emergency shelter and essential NFIs to conflict- and disaster-affected populations, maintaining dignity and safety.  

Key Strategic Objectives:   

  • Provide emergency and transitional shelters.
  • Distribute hygiene kits, kitchen sets, blankets, mosquito nets, and other NFIs.
  • Support shelter recovery with materials and technical guidance.         
  • Enhance community preparedness for shelter needs.  

Approaches:   

  • Rapid response with humanitarian cluster coordination.
  • Vulnerability-based targeting through detailed needs assessments.
  • Dignity-centered assistance respecting cultural norms.
  • Localized implementation in partnership with communities and authorities.
