byVoices Ug May 7, 2026 Uncategorized The Foundation for Inclusive Development-FID in April 2026 paid a courtesy visit to the Central Equatoria State Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Forestry. The visit aimed at introducing FID to the stakeholders as a way of collaborative efforts of mutual interest to understand state policies towards support to farmers in the State.FID FSL Manager Mr. Moro Moses explained the FID thematic areas, its scope of work and the support FID offered to train 100 local farmers in Eastern Equatoria State. “Our aim is to build the capacity of local farmers for them to have knowledge in good agricultural practices (GAP), especially on pest control and the post-harvest management”. Moro elaborated. “We would also like to better understand the specific priorities on needs and context how the State Ministry of Agriculture is working with the farmers up to the county levels so that FID’s work is streamlined to the relevant policies”. Moro added.Karlo Loku Morbe, the Acting Director General in Central Equatoria State Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Forestry welcomed FID and commended efforts the organization is putting in reaching the farmers both in Central and Eastern Equatoria States. “As an institution working with partners in the state, we are very much grateful for your efforts. We have no problem; we hope to continue working with you and supporting you technically in various aspects in line with the ministry’s policies”. Said Karlo
